What happens to my bundles and data if I uninstall the app?

Shopify removes the app's embed and widget blocks from your themes, so shoppers stop seeing bundle widgets and free gifts, and we delete your store's data from our servers. The app never creates bundle products or edits your products, theme files or orders, so there's nothing to clean up in your catalog.

Before you uninstall
- Deactivate or delete the bundles and discounts you no longer want to run. You can do it in the app, or in Shopify admin > Discounts.
- Take screenshots of any settings you may want to rebuild later. Shopify says an uninstalled app's configuration and data can't be restored (Shopify developer docs).
- If you pasted the app's HTML snippet into a page builder, remove it there. It's an empty placeholder, so it shows nothing without the app, but Shopify can't remove it for you.
Uninstall the app
Shopify's steps (Shopify Help Center):
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps.
- Next to SMART Discounts, click the menu icon, then Uninstall.
- Optionally choose a reason, then click Uninstall.
What happens to each part

| Customer data | The app keeps no customer personal data on its servers. The bundle statistics hold order IDs and amounts only. |
| Bundle and discount settings | These are stored in Shopify, with each discount and in the app's own data on your store, not on our servers. |

If your store still had an old paid plan
Some stores that installed the app when it was paid still carry an old subscription; the app's Plan page shows its name and price. Shopify says uninstalling a paid app cancels future recurring charges, but you might still be billed for the current billing cycle (Shopify Help Center). Questions about an old charge: contact us by chat or email (support@etradepartner.io) before you uninstall.
If you reinstall later
- Turn the app embed on again: Shopify removed it at uninstall. See Turn on the app embed.
- Bundle statistics start again empty, because we deleted them at uninstall. See How statistics are counted.
- Shopify warns that your previous app settings or data might not be restored after a reinstall (Shopify Help Center). Check your bundles and rebuild any that are missing.

›Do I have to remove code from my theme after uninstalling?
No. The app works only through its theme app embed and app blocks, which Shopify removes at uninstall. The one exception is the HTML snippet, if you pasted it into a page builder yourself.
›Will my products or inventory change?
No. Bundles are discounts on your existing products. The app never creates bundle products or changes stock, so your catalog stays as it is.
›Is my statistics history kept if I come back?
No. Bundle order statistics are deleted from our servers when you uninstall, so a reinstall starts with empty statistics.
