How are the statistics on the app's Home page counted?
Updated · SMART Bundles App & Upsells (E-TRADE PARTNER)
The four cards on Home count paid orders that included a bundle offer added through the widget, in your store currency and before refunds, for the range you pick: Today, 7 days, 1 month or All time. Shopify test orders are never counted, and the cards cover bundles only.

The four cards
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Total revenue | The full total of the orders that included a bundle: the whole order, not only the bundle items. |
| Added revenue | Extra revenue from shoppers who picked a bigger bundle offer. For each bundle offer in an order: what the shopper paid for the offer's items, minus one unit of the product at full price. Never below zero. |
| Orders | Orders that included a bundle. Each order counts once, even with two bundles in it. |
| Average order value | Total revenue divided by Orders. |
Each card has a small trend line for the chosen range. Hover the card title for its definition and the date tracking started.
When an order counts
- Paid orders only. An order counts when Shopify marks it paid. Cash on delivery and bank transfer orders count once they're paid, never before.
- By order date. A paid order is filed under the day it was placed, in your store's time zone. So a past day can grow when an older unpaid order gets paid.
- No test orders. Orders Shopify marks as test orders are skipped, such as orders placed with Shopify's test payment gateway or Shopify Payments test mode. Shopify keeps them out of its own reports too (Shopify Help Center).
- Items added through the widget that got a discount. An order counts for a bundle only when at least one of the items the widget added for it got a discount. Items that qualified without the widget, such as a quick add from a collection page, are discounted at checkout but not counted here. Gift lines never count as bundle items.
- From the tracking start. Orders placed before the date in the card's tooltip aren't counted.
Money
- Always in your store currency, also for orders paid in another currency.
- Before refunds. A later refund doesn't lower the numbers.
Date ranges
- Today: hour by hour, from midnight to the current hour, in your store's time zone.
- 7 days: the last 7 days, today included.
- 1 month: the last 30 days, today included. Home opens on this range.
- All time: from the first day with a counted order.
The discounts table
- Orders (all time) is Shopify's own count of orders that used the discount, all time, for every discount type. It isn't limited to widget-added items or to the chosen range, so it can be higher than the bundle numbers.
- Average order value, Total revenue and Added revenue follow the chosen range.
- Bundles show all three. A bundle row expands into one row per offer.
- Code discounts (Free gift and the cart discount types with a code) show Average order value and Total revenue of paid orders that used that exact code.
- Automatic discounts that aren't bundles show only Orders (all time). The app can't reliably tell from an order which automatic discount it came from, so it attributes no revenue to them.
What isn't tracked
Visitors, product page views and conversion rate aren't tracked. Free gift orders aren't in the four cards. For other reports, use Shopify's own analytics.
If a bundle's numbers stay empty while orders come in, check that shoppers add the offer through the widget and that the bundle is applying: see Discount not applying.

›Why do the Home numbers differ from Shopify's sales reports?
Home counts only paid orders with a bundle added through the widget, uses each order's full total before refunds, and files each order under the day it was placed. Those rules differ from a store-wide sales report, so the numbers won't match it.
›Why is Orders (all time) higher than the Orders card?
Orders (all time) is Shopify's count of every order that used the discount, over all time. The card counts only paid orders with widget-added bundle items in the chosen range.
