Kaching describes its model the same way SMART works: bundle offers on the product page, with discounts applied automatically at checkout. So the decision is less about the basic offer and more about the monthly bill, testing tools, and which storefronts and languages you need.

When Kaching Bundles fits better

  • You want to test offers against each other. Kaching's listing describes built-in A/B testing, and its pricing page includes every feature on every plan. SMART has no A/B tests.
  • You'd like the app to propose bundles. Kaching's pricing page says it reads your catalog and orders, then suggests bundle tiers, discounts and gifts. In SMART, every product, tier and gift is your choice.
  • You sell on a Hydrogen storefront or have products with hundreds of variants. Kaching's listing names "Hydrogen & 2048 Variants", and Shopify POS among the apps it works with. The SMART widget runs only on Online Store themes and doesn't load on products with more than 250 variants; in Shopify POS, a new SMART bundle gives no discount until "Exclude POS" is unticked.
  • You want bundles, a cart drawer and subscriptions from one company, with help moving over. The listing names Kaching Cart & Subscriptions, and the pricing page offers to rebuild the offers from your current bundle app.

When SMART Bundles fits

  • You don't want the bill tied to bundle sales. Kaching's plans are tiered by monthly added revenue, from $14.99/mo for up to $1,000 to $299/mo for over $50,000. SMART has one free plan with nothing gated (plan and pricing).
  • You want cart-level rules next to the widget: Volume discount, Order goal, Shipping discount and an Advanced discount rule builder, automatic or with a code (cart discounts), plus a free gift that adds itself to the cart on any page.
  • Your team uses Shopify admin in a language that isn't on Kaching's listing, such as Polish, Japanese, Korean or Czech. SMART's admin follows your Shopify admin language in 25 languages.

Added revenue: a plan limit or a report

Both apps talk about added revenue, but it does a different job in each. Kaching asks you to pick a plan by the extra revenue it brings in each month, and each plan covers added revenue up to a set amount. In SMART, "Added revenue" is a report on the Home page: "Extra revenue from shoppers who picked a bigger bundle offer", counted from paid orders in your shop currency. It never changes what you pay. See how statistics are counted.

Frequently asked questions

›Can shoppers see the SMART widget in their own language?

Yes, when your store has two or more published languages. In the bundle editor, the language button at the top switches every text field to that language so you can translate it, and shoppers see the widget in their storefront language. Default texts are English; there are no built-in translations (translate the widget).
