# How much does SMART Bundles cost?

SMART Bundles App & Upsells is free. There is one plan with every feature included, no trial to start and no paid tier to upgrade to. Installing it adds no charge to your Shopify bill.

## What the plan includes

In the app, open **Plan** in the menu. The page shows one card, **Free**, listing what the app does. Nothing is locked behind another plan:

- **Bundles on the product page:** Quantity breaks, Buy X, get Y, Complete the bundle, Mix and match and Alternative product offers, all nine templates, and the design and translation options. See [Create your first bundle](https://smart-bundles.io/help/getting-started/create-your-first-bundle).
- **Bundle extras:** countdown timer, progressive gifts, upsell add-ons, savings summary, subscriptions, sticky add to cart and low stock alert. See [Upsells and extras](https://smart-bundles.io/features/upsells).
- **Free gifts** added to the cart automatically when the cart qualifies. See [Free gift](https://smart-bundles.io/features/free-gift).
- **Cart discounts:** Volume discount, Order goal, Buy X get Y, Shipping discount and Advanced discount, automatic or with a code, with start and end dates. See [Cart discounts](https://smart-bundles.io/features/cart-discounts).
- **Restrictions:** hide payment methods or delivery options at checkout once a discount is on the cart (**Settings** > **Restrictions**).
- **Support** by chat or email. See [Get support](https://smart-bundles.io/help/getting-started/get-support).

## What "free" means here

- No trial period, no plan switching and no cancel step in the app, because there is nothing to buy.
- No fee per order, no share of revenue and no feature held back for a paid plan.
- Your Shopify plan and payment processing fees are separate from the app.

## Shopify rules that still apply

These limits come from Shopify, not from the app:

- **Any Shopify plan can use it.** Shopify lets stores on any plan use public App Store apps that contain Shopify Functions ([Shopify developer docs](https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/build/functions)). Every SMART Bundles discount is a Shopify Function.
- **25 active automatic discounts.** Shopify allows at most 25 active automatic discounts per store, app discounts included ([Shopify Help Center](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/discounts/discount-combinations)). Every active bundle and every automatic Free gift or cart discount counts. Code discounts don't.
- **Two product discounts on one item** need Shopify Plus ([Shopify Help Center](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/discounts/discount-combinations)). See [Combine with other discounts](https://smart-bundles.io/help/troubleshooting/combine-with-other-discounts).

## If your Plan page shows an older paid plan

Stores that installed the app back when it was paid can still carry an old subscription. Such a store sees one line on the Plan page instead of the **Free** card: the old plan's name and its price per month or per year. If you see this, contact us by chat or email (support@etradepartner.io) so we can look at it with you.
