On the bundle's **Offers** tab, open **Show this bundle on** and choose **All products** (the default), **Products** or **Collections**. With Collections or All products you can also tick **Exclude products** and leave out products by **Products**, **Collections** or **Product tags**. The same choice decides which cart items the discount counts. ## Set the target 1. Open the bundle in **SMART Discounts**. On the **Offers** tab, open the **Show this bundle on** card. 2. Choose **All products**, **Products** or **Collections**. For Products or Collections, click the picker and add at least one. 3. With **Collections** or **All products**, tick **Exclude products**, then pick **Exclude by**: **Products**, **Collections** or **Product tags**. One kind at a time: switching **Exclude by** clears the other list. For tags, type a tag or pick one from your store's tags. 4. Read the warning, if any: "Another bundle, "", also targets these products. A product page shows one bundle; checkout can apply both discounts." It never blocks saving. 5. Click **Create** or **Save**. ## What the target controls - **Where the widget shows.** The bundle shows on the product pages of its targeted products, minus exclusions. - **What checkout counts.** Only targeted products count toward an offer and get its discount; excluded products never do. The exception is the products you pick inside an offer: Complete the bundle rows, an alternative product, gifts and upsells. - **What shoppers can pick.** In a Mix and match offer with **Shoppers pick the products**, the picker lists the targeted products, up to the first 250. See [Mix and match offer](https://smart-bundles.io/help/bundles/mix-and-match-offer). - **What fills This product.** In a Complete the bundle offer, **This product** can be any targeted product at checkout. See [Complete the bundle offer](https://smart-bundles.io/help/bundles/complete-the-bundle-offer). ## Whole products, not single variants A bundle targets whole products: picking a product includes every variant, and every variant shows the widget and counts. You can limit variants on the products inside an offer (a Complete the bundle row, a gift, an upsell or an alternative product) with **Edit variants**. To make a discount for single variants only, use a [Volume discount](https://smart-bundles.io/help/cart-discounts/volume-discounts) or an [Advanced discount](https://smart-bundles.io/help/cart-discounts/advanced-discounts); neither shows a widget. ## Collections include future products - Products you add to a targeted collection later show the widget and count at checkout without editing the bundle. Removing a product from the collection removes it the same way. - The Mix and match picker list is the exception: it updates when you save the bundle again. - The widget reads a product's collections from your theme, and Shopify leaves out collections that aren't available on the Online Store sales channel ([Shopify Liquid reference](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/liquid/objects/product)). Make targeted collections available there. ## Overlaps and limits - A product page shows one bundle, even when several target it. Checkout can still apply every matching bundle's discount, subject to their combination settings. It doesn't check exclusions by collection or tag, or a Products target against a Collections target. - A Complete the bundle offer is hidden on the pages of its own picked products. - Products with more than 250 variants don't show the widget. - Save refuses a bundle that references more than 100 collections (targeted and excluded together) or 100 excluded tags: "A discount can reference at most 100 collections or tags." - Bundles can't target customers, customer tags or segments. They can be limited by market and exclude B2B and POS on the **Settings** tab > **Eligibility**. No. Bundles target whole products, collections or all products. A Volume discount or an Advanced discount can target variants, without a product page widget. ### Do products I add to a collection later get the bundle? Yes. They show the widget and count at checkout right away. Only the Mix and match picker list needs the bundle to be saved again. ### Two bundles target the same product. Which one shows? A product page shows one bundle. The editor warns you about overlaps, so narrow one target or exclude the shared products.
